Gunfight breaks out in Srinagar Outskirts | KNO

Srinager, July 25 (KNO): A gunfight has broken out between militants and security forces in Ramalgand Outskirts Of Srinagar on Saturday morning. An official told news agency—kashmir news observer (KNO), that "a Joint team of security forces including Army's, Special Operations Group (SOG) and CRPF launched a search operation after specific inputs about presence of militants in the area. “As they approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. Exchange of heavy gunfire is going on," he told-KNO. Kashmir Police Zone also informed in a tweet Encounter has started at Ranbirgarh (Panzinara), outskirts of Srinagar. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. JmuKmrPolice The heavy firing was going on from both sides when this report was being filed.
